What are your five favorite books, and why?
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. I laugh so hard every time I read this book! It is one of my favorites for its sarcasm and dry wit.
A Prayer for Owen Meany and The Cider House Rules, both by John Irving. They speak to me on a visceral level about love and loss and forgiveness.
Oh, The Places You'll Go! by Dr. Seuss. Corny, I know, but every time I read it, I feel this childlike sense of possibility!
Sh*t My Dad Says by Justin Halpern made me laugh so hard I cried.
What do you read for pleasure?
Everything! I love fiction, especially crime fiction/thrillers and of course, erotic fiction, but I also enjoy true stories, biographies, historical accounts, and much more.
David and Ellen Long have been happily married for years, but their lives change drastically when they stumble upon each other's hidden desires, and sex takes on a whole new meaning. Contains the complete versions of The Long Winter, The Long Confession, and The Long Night.
David and Ellen Long have started down the path of sharing their once-secret desires. It is David's turn to share a fantasy with Ellen, and his dream of his wife using four men in a movie theater gets closer to reality. The Married Desire Series, Book 3.
After David and Ellen Long realize that they each harbor erotic desires that can only make their marriage stronger, they begin to tell each other their fantasies. Ellen confesses her secret dream about breaking in a hot, young babysitter with David. The Married Desire Series, Book 2.
David and Ellen Long think their marriage is wonderful but predictable—until they figure out that both of them have hidden desires. When David finds Ellen having fun alone in the bathtub, they begin uncovering the secret erotic needs they didn't even know they shared. The Married Desire Series, Book 1.
I loved all three of these stories, but Rough Custody was my favorite. The shift in the balance of power between Julie and the men in the story really lures you in--at some points, Julie is at their mercy, yet at others, she dominates them with her willingness and her demands. It is a great story with a great ending. I wanted to read a second installment describing the rest of her stay.
Whip Me Harder really appealed to me because of Rachel's unflinching pursuit of desire. I loved that she was so madly driven by what she wanted, and that she just took it. It turns the traditional female role out as she embraces the more typically-male behaviors.
Taken in the Dark is a great read as well; I liked that it just jumps right in to the story without belaboring the point with needless background. You get right to the heart of the story without wasting time.
Overall, I very much enjoyed all three!
