Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a household where manners were taught, and my mom was very particular about how we conducted ourselves. My parents greatly influenced this subject matter, and encouraged my writings from about age 5, when I wrote my first Easter Speech. It had nothing to do with Easter, but I was allowed to recite it at church on Easter Day and they were so super proud.
