This story is full of fast-paced adventure from the start. Set in modern times, it's funny and keeps you wondering, what will they do next? The characters are great, some even a little excentric - but that makes the story that much better!
A great read for those who love a good Race for a Treasure!
I too have read this series and all the others by J. Robert Whittle and his wife, Joyce Sandilands. I absolutely love them. My husband, an avid Clancy and Cussler fan, has also read and enjoyed them immensely. I have bought many copies for friends and family members.
Nancy's "perfect life" only becomes that because she makes it that way. Nancy starts life with no mother and a father who takes her from her home with her Aunt and Uncle and brings her to a foreign land only to leave her orphaned when he is killed in the mines. She endures the hardship of orphanage life for many years before endearing herself to everyone she meets.
Journeying through the accurate history of the streets of Victoria from 1900, she becomes a favourite of everyone she meets, enduring the hardships of War with her friends and neighbours and finding ways to put joy into the lives of others.
Robert's style absorbs you into the story as if you are really there and makes it so very hard to put the book down. The kind of story that leaves you dreaming - I wish I were Nancy!!!
