I am a reader not a writer, so the following review is not expertly done by any means and is my first ever in my 57 years, but I felt I had to comment on this book.
I usually buy a batch of books from Smashwords and top up my order with several new authors - Julie Reilly was one such new author with her book 'Time Watchers The Greatest Of These' - actually 2 full books in one.
As the book blurb says - It's about a guy going back into the stone age past to study cavemen first hand for him to get his qualifications as a researcher for his job in the future and falling in love with a cave girl.
This story had me a few times in tears, rooting for the good guys and booing the bad guys, hoping true love would prevail in the end. The story has an even flow and is very easy to read - it's not full of religion, political comment or long winded explanations about future psuedo-science and how it works. The story is just gentle entertainment and leaves you wanting more. I actually contacted the author - another first for me - to ask for more.
This new author is on my 'watch for more books' list - Julie Reilly is someone to definitely watch out for.
