When I read a romance like The Officer’s Wife, I find myself at a loss when trying to review it. I don't feel that my words can do justice to the story and wonderful writing that Adrienne Ruvalcaba brings to this novel. The book tells the story of Rebecca Graves; a strong, humble women who is trying to make a positive difference in the lives of the women and girls around her. In the process she meets and unexpectedly falls in love with a military officer who makes a positive difference in her life. As a premier novelist, Adrienne writes a story with lasting impact; both as a timeless love story and one that addresses important issues of the day. I think that this is by far the best book I have read in the past year, and will be telling as many people as I can to pick this one up.
