Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was raised in the Golden Valley of Clinton, Missouri during the fabulous 50's. During these times Clinton was the 'Baby Chick' capital of the world.
When did you first start writing?
Most of my life I had an inspiration to write, but never could find the time. So when I retired from TWA/American Airlines, time was no longer an excuse. A subject or plot became my obstacle. To motivate me, my wife suggested I start with a memoir. "After all," she said, "you have had an intriguing life." The more I thought about it, the more it made sense. Everyone else seemed to be writing theirs, so why not me? I am the only person who knows all my memories. When I pass into the after life, those memories will evaporate and turn to ashes. Writing them down would provide a history book for my future desendents. They may discover just where their idiocy comes from.
