Hyla Withrow

Hyla Withrow is a mother of two and grandmother of four who resides in Washington state with her husband, Paul. She was raised in Oregon where her family was active in fishing, hunting and camping. Almost every Friday night her dad would come home from work and be ready to set out for their next adventure. During that day her mother, brother and herself would have packed the camper and the boat in anticipation for his arrival home. While her family spent their time hunting and fishing, Hyla tended to be more of an observer. She would spend her time creating stories of what the animals were saying and doing around her. She has a great love and respect for the outdoors and hopes with The Flannel Bear series that every child can come along and enjoy them with her.
