deborah weed

My mission is to spark an intergenerational conversation about what is truly important in life. The Luckiest Penny is a fully illustrated children's book that offers an imaginative, charming and thought provoking way to get children, parents and grandparents alike, to discuss why money can not buy us what we really want--which is love and connection.

I have an extensive thirty-year marketing and entertainment career in which I have been in the corporate sector; a creator and producer of children's musical productions; a public speaker; an author, and an award winning artist.

A health obstacle in my own life made me want to inspire others. I learned firsthand that: "Self-worth has no price tag!" It is now the motto of The Luckiest Penny.

The artist of The Luckiest Penny, Ernest Socolov, is the consummate renaissance man. His long and varied career in graphics and fine art has consisted of being a designer and artist at the American Broadcasting Company; Esquire Magazine and Columbia Records. The illustrations are a testament to his tremendous skill in telling a story through pictures.
