Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I'm a Californian who's a tourist that's been stuck in Florida for 26 years.
My social interactions and experiences (the few good and mostly bad), my observations, imagination and the various subjects that you read about in books or in the news affect my writing somehow. You'll find these influences in my stories.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing when I was a little girl. I wrote songs, poems, and stories. In fact, I was in fourth grade when my first poem was published in my elementary school's newsletter. In fifth grade, we had to write a story and I wrote a story inspired by the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and with my teacher's help I put the story together and hot glued it with a cover that I had made. So that was my first DIY project!
