Smashwords Interview

What motivated you to become an indie author?
I became an indie author because I had a few bad experiences with publishers. Therefore, I chose to self-publish my novel in hopes of getting the story out there.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
I am new to Smashwords and have yet to see the benefits of using this platform for book exposure. I will update this question when I have more experience with the platform.
