  • Jack of All Trades - How to Master All Sorts of Skills in Short Amount of Time and Be a Modern Renaissance Person on July 20, 2015

This book was very well written, and written with a diverse audience in mind. The author used philosophy and film interchangeably to create a universal appeal to wisdom over knowledge when it comes to mastering being the jack of all trades. The book has a lot of good tricks, like the Loci method, to keep your memory working and your mind active and stimulated, and it has several good tips and advice for getting a trade job in addition to a professional job. It had a lot of good things to say that are important for people today, as the economy is tenuous at best. I also liked the various subjects dedicated to multitasking and motivation. It really shows that putting the time and investment into learning about who you are, what you want, and how you function can keep you from going bankrupt trying to find your passion while still allowing you to pursue that passion. Highly recommended for high school/college students, professionals looking to change jobs, and people who want a new start at working or education. The best part of this book is it is funny and engaging, and not preachy.
