This was a good read. I hope I see more from this young author. I read this book over the course of a few days; up to 100 pages per sitting. Although not a "page turner" in the traditional sense, my eyes were glued to the monitor. Modern technology! I like how he blended the episodes together nearly seamlessly. He did a fabulous job tying them all together as the story progressed quickly. His portrayal of The President was in a favorable light, although The Man was faced with unbelievable events, and opted for the wrong "solution" when pressured for one. Mr. Dean's description of the surroundings and the events makes me want to visit the places he wrote about in this book, with the exceptions of Fairy Lake and Volga. They seem dreadfully dreary, which is an ode to his successful style of description. I highly recommend this humor- and social commentary-infused horror story.

I forgot to star it. Oops! Sorry, Mr. Dean.
