Tommy Baggins

Biography

Who am I?

I'm a lover of sci-fi and fantasy fiction as well as a fan of classic movies. I'm a self-proclaimed royal historian of Oz as well as the self-proclaimed emperor of Canada and, yes, I'm completely full of it.

I like to think that I'm a sterling example of person with Asperger's syndrome. It may be more trouble than it's worth but it lends me and my writing a distinctive perspective.

I live in the real-life fairy country along the border between Delaware and Pennsylvania. Although, during the summers, I like to throw on a backpack and go walking among the mountains.

This is just a simple ghost story. It features a backpacker sitting beside a campfire and a mysterious visitor who never quite comes into the light. Rather minimalistic, you might say. The inspiration came from my own experiences camping in forests at night and realizing that anything could be lurking in the dark beyond the firelight.

I was recently diagnosed with testicular cancer. Obviously, I wasn't thrilled. What follows is my unapologetic rant on the subject. For some godforsaken reason, I decided to rant in haiku. It's a bit odd but it sort of works. One heads-up: There's a touch of profanity in here. Given the subject, I thought that it was appropriate.
