Tom Allen is a graduate of Asbury College (Wilmore, Kentucky), and the Alliance Theological Seminary (Nyack, New York).
Mr. Allen is a minister and author whose travels have taken him around the world to several countries in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, and South America.

Tom Allen has two adult daughters—Andrea, a graphic designer in Minneapolis, and Amanda, an attorney practicing in New York City. Tom’s wife, Arliss is a retired public school teacher who taught Family & Consumer Science for 22 years. Tom and Arliss reside in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Rev. Steve Corbett was a burned-out minister about to go on a sabbatical. Just as he was informing his denomination, he was asked to perform the funeral for an elderly parishioner--Mr. Myron Shank. Pastor Steve was also asked to stay for the reading of the will after the funeral. There he learned that he had received a 72 million dollar bequest. That's when all hell broke loose in Steve's life.
