  • Brezlun on Dec. 15, 2012

An engaging novel with a compelling main character, engaging supporting characters, a deep back story, interesting cultures (with plenty say about ours), adventure, food, and music. Brezlun is the sort of book that you want to savor and not end. I'm hoping we'll see sequels, prequels, and a board game. A movie would probably mess with my mental picture of the characters, but I'd see it anyway.

Another great novel from Chris Mason, a thrilling adventure that gets progressively harder to put down as the story develops. A cast of interesting and real characters are wrapped in a plot that has enough complexity to enjoy (and admire the author's construction) without feeling like you need to take notes to keep up. Plus, there's plenty of satisfying ass-kicking.

I agree with junkyarddog, Mrs. Bambi definitely needs to be made into a movie! It offers interesting characters, lots of humor, wonderful writing, and a story with more heart than most best selling page turners.
