Tony Kearney


Tony Kearney was born in St. Albans, Hertfordshire and he attended Our Lady’s Primary School, Welwyn Garden City and St. Michael’s Grammar School for Boys, Hitchin before the school moved to Stevenage….and he went with it. He also went to Mid-Herts College of Further Education for a year, and studied graphic design for three years at Stevenage College.

Apart from being a Stores Supervisor (office clerk), Sales Section Leader (office clerk) and General Manager (glorified office clerk) Tony has spent most of his life in graphic design and printing. For the last twenty years he has been the owner (office clerk and tea boy) of a small print management company.

His interests include music, art, illustration, photography, reading, watching football, socializing, song writing and recording, and of course, writing children’s books and humorous fiction.

His exciting debut novel, For Fear of the Forest and marks the beginning of many thrilling offerings to the world of children’s literature from a talented storyteller who weaves his craft as finely as he wields his artist’s crayons.
