Smashwords Interview
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland U.K and still live there. I write sixties Glasgow crime fiction Write what you know they say.
Before I began writing the Lassiter series comprising Body Language, Bad Form and Body Art I wrote many short stories. Many of these are included in the Tales Collections.
I write what I like to read. Good, gripping short stories full of twists with a last totally unforeseen one right at the end! Enjoy reading my Tales series as much as I enjoyed writing them and you will never regret having bought them. They really will remain in your memory long after reading them. You will also return to them again and again just in case you missed one of the twists. You will invariably find out you did. There are many of them in these individual little gems
Lassiter is an ex Glasgow gangster. Lassiter is now a reporter. Lassiter has very close friends on both sides. He is very very dangerous because he is also very clever. Gloriously accurate Glasgow characters. The gangsters Hagan Horner Jamieson Reggie. The police Hegarty Dawson Bradford Maggie Hagan Sarah Lassiter P.J. Each character so accurately drawn you will feel you know Novels Body Language Bad Form Body Art and Bad Beats coming soon
A collection of tales about assisting others to do wrong. Not intentionally on some occasions. Not even knowingly perhaps. Not our fault then? Are we blameless?
This third novel in the Lassiter s is slightly different from Body Language and Bad Form. In my debut Body Language we were first introduced to an extremely wide range of glorious Glasgow characters. They all returned in Bad Form together with new ones. Same here in Body Art. It`s set in Whitby however. Eerie. Scary . Spooky.
A new short story collection illustrating the fact that "ordinary" people often achieve extremely extraordinary things. Trademark twists, turns and extremely surprising endings from different personalities faced with difficult and dangerous situations.

The second Lassiter novel Bad Form brings back the same main characters as Body Language. Providing, that is, they`re still alive! Find out in this second tough Glasgow gangland crime novel
My first novel in the Lassiter Glasgow crime fiction series. Body Language is sixties/seventies Glasgow in the raw. Tough and uncompromising it introduces Lassiter an investigative journalist and his many friends on both sides of the law. Streetwise tough and violent dialogue will attract readers everywhere Glaswegian or not.
