Fans of the book Homicide:A Year on the Killing Streets and the tv show Homicide: Life On The Streets as well as fans of super hero comics should love this book.
The premise Keith works from is one of the most unique deconstructions of super heroes that I've seen. How would super heroes work in the real world, where everyone is innocent until proven guilty and you can't put away a suspect unless you have actual evidence to convict them.
The book works because it never pulls back from the point of view of the cops. Although you may suspect that the heroes are present in secret identity form in one or two scenes, you never see their point of view to confirm it. Five stars from this reader.
