Everblossom by Larissa Hinton, is a short story and poetry anthology (collection of works). Some such stories are sad, some are magical, while others cause intrigue. But the main theme I noticed was life stages. Expressions of life through poetry and stories that express troubles some of us may have experienced throughout our life. The scenarios written within range from being bullied at school, losing a child, and the need to cope with being something not quite normal. The Good 1.Decent poetry. I'm not one who reads poetry often but I can recognize a good poem when I read one. ( The One to Fear is a great one) 2.Some short stories could definitely be turned into full blown books. 3.Hints of magic and mystery such as dreams becoming reality, visions of death, fairies, and immortals who eat humans. 4.Leaves you wanting more. I still want to know what's next in some of them! 5.Some stories could trigger some strong emotions in some readers. (Good and bad thing depending on the person) 6.Quick read. The Bad 1.I think that this is not for people under 16 due to some stories that involve the death of a child after birth. Definitely not for the weak of heart. But don't let that last bit dissuade you. It's a great read.
