I am literally lost for words at the moment.
Higlight of my day.
This is David Estes' first novel and I think he did a pretty good job.
So the main character is Taylor. She has a strong and complicated sense of character, who believes she has to be in control. Her best friend, the gorgeous Samantha, also known as Sam, has known Taylor for quite a long time.
Then theres Gabriel. He's an angel, brainwashed into thinking angels are superior to humans and all they need to defeat the demons, is Taylor.
Except Chris refuses to let the angels take her. Chris is a demon (view spoiler)[who happens to fall in love with Sam. (hide spoiler)]
The angels need Taylor because she's the key to winning this War. The demons need her so the angels don't get the upperhand.
My heart beat rate was higher than usual, whih does not happen often. I personally loved this book and cannot wait to read the second book.
David Estes, why did you end it that way ? Why ?
Highly recommended :)
“You don’t see yourself at all, do you? It seems to me that you’re good at everything you try,” said Ethan sincerely.
“I had a dream I could breathe underwater,” I said flippantly, “Maybe I’ll go swim with the mermaids.”
Ethan turned to look at me with shock in his eyes.
“Just kidding,” I said, alarmed at his reaction.
Take me with you to Paris.
I admire your sense of character.
Romantic and strong willed ; I like it :D
If only you were my cousin
You talented little thing :')
Other than that, I wouldn't mind having you as a best friend.
Everything a girl wants in a guy :)
People I would shove in the trunk of my car :
Shayla, Heather and her posse, and the boys in art class.
Just read it.
I didn't like the ending,
But the romance was spot on
He glanced up once, eyes bored. “Please stop talking. I’m trying to eat.”
First I was like :
Bee - You are a whiny selfish brat,
Will - You are a self absorbed attractive jerk,
Rose - You weakling,
Liam - Shut up with your screaming,
Marian - You. Are. Amazing, sorry. Evil.
Then I was like :
Bee - Make up your mind and please, keep slamming the doors ( you are so mature )
Will - Why Will ? Why didn't you tell her ?
Rose - What the hell is happening to you :O
Liam - It's nice to be able to talk to someone,
Marian - You are crazy, woman !
Now I'm like :
Bee - I'm proud of you intelligent human, I love your determination :')
Will - I think I'm in love with your hair ;)
Rose - You need to get out more ;D
Liam - No comment. You shocked me.
Marian - Haha, shame. You got what you deserved !
Most hated characters go to :
Drew - You selfish ass. I bet if your sister, if you have one, went missing you wouldn't even have cared. I wouldn't mind hitting you in the head with a rotten fish :D
Dad - I cannot believe you sold your daughter out for wife number two. I pity you. No toilet paper for you sir. Good for nothing loser.
I adored the ending !
I loved this re-write :')
I loved Marians mood swings,
On the edge of my seat much.
“The electronic tracking device that you were wearing had a recording device,” she said with a smug look. She expected Sarah to be delighted to hear this.
“Eww, that’s gross,” exclaimed Sarah. “I used the toilet with that thing on.”
This book was
boring in the beginning, but got more interesting as I read on. I loved Pall's character, and as for Sarah, she showed a level of maturity while she was with Pall.
I think they compliment each other very well, but most of the work they did confused me and I had no clue as to what was being done
Overall, this book was alright. Three Stars!
