I write stories. It’s not my day job, but my day job isn’t important. Really, it's not important.
What’s important is that there are words inside my head, and if I don’t let them out then they start organizing, and then there are tiny little words pounding on my psyche shouting things about “fair exposure” and “equal rights for conjunctions”, and if you’ve never seen a lot of adverbs picketing then you should count yourself lucky.
I write because the words demand I write.
Most of the things I write are about people, and their relationships with each other. Many of them are about secrets. A lot of them don’t necessarily have a happy ending.
I write the stories that want to be written. If you don’t like them, take it up with the picket line. They’ve been burning old chestnuts to warm their serifs with lately.
