Vernon Coxwell


Vernon Coxwell is a contemporary artist who enjoys easy reading and good story telling. A graduate of America's public education system and a small private liberal arts college in the southeastern United States. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in behavioral science. His background includes work as a grocery bag boy, a janitor, a soldier, a cop, a commercial truck driver, an Eagle Scout and an independent author. He writes honest stories about the American experience.

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Pine Hills! In those days, it was great. There were fishing ponds everywhere and Orange groves covered the landscape. Today Central Florida is one big parking lot. I remain inspired by my friends of youth. Their continued challenges are reflected in Megan's final chapter.
When did you first start writing?
Early. But, using other names. Poetry. Short stories. Not claiming by name. How, cowardly is that? Today, I have a story.
