Joanne Rodrigues

Biography

With three master’s degrees, her broad educational background allows her to uniquely explore questions that are often overlooked, because they lie at the intersection of multiple academic disciplines or in the nebulous space of ‘data science.’ Two of her master’s degrees are from the University of California Berkeley in Demography and Political Science, and a third is in Mathematics from the London School of Economics. Her undergraduate degree is from Georgetown University's Edmund Walsh School of Foreign Service.

She has presented a number of conference papers, including pieces of this research, at the numerous social science conferences at University of California Berkeley Demography Department Brown Bags and at the Population Association of America (PAA). The paper presented at PAA is titled, “Political Marginalization and Fertility: A Case Comparison of Arizona and New Mexico”. She currently works as a data scientist for a tech start-up. In her spare time, she’s a foodie – she enjoys cooking and of course eating!
