Viktoriya Haklova

Biography

I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine and this city will always be very dear to me. My childhood and youth were spent there and lots of wonderful memories are connected with this city. English has always been my hobby which became my job right after entering the University. So my University years were full of activities that included not only studying and working as a guide in Kyiv and a private English teacher but also travelling, yoga, playing flute, drawing, literature, fine art and history of art.
When I was 25 years old I decided to change my life radically and discover more about what I can achieve personally and professionally so in September 2008 I set off for Prague to study and work there. I learned the Czech fast and entered Charles University half a year after my arrival to Prague but found studying there too theoretical for me and started working as a guide in Prague which I have enjoyed immensely ever since.
I have been living in Prague for more than four years now and this magic cozy city still fascinates me more and more. On 7th of July 2012 I got married with the Love of my Life and each day I find myself in love even stronger than before. Martin is my best friend and life partner, my incentive to discover new emotions and ideas as well as reliable support and help whenever I am in need.
I started writing small essays in which I described my insight experience, feelings and thoughts caused by every day events in year 2006 and in December 2012 due to the great help and support by my husband I published a book called Notes on the Way Home illustrated with my drawings following each story. All the stories are listed according to the date when they were written and you may find the first ones too childish (as they really are) but I decided to include them in the book anyway as they are significant for me and show the general direction of my thoughts and focus in different periods of my life.
For me these short stories are meant to inspire and encourage me to live a happy and fulfilled life each day and minute and I will me happy if you find them useful for your personal growth too. If you have any questions or thoughts you’d like to share with me feel free to contact me on my email address vitalibri@gmail.com
Sincerely
