Vonnie Winslow Crist
Born in the Year of the Dragon, Vonnie Winslow Crist has had a life-long interest in reading, writing, and art that was nurtured not only by her family but also by a few kind-hearted teachers at Perry Hall Elementary, Parkville Junior High, and Perry Hall High.
After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education, she married then raised three children, did freelance illustrating and writing, and taught poetry for the Maryland State Arts Council’s Artists-in-Education Program. Thirty years after graduating from Towson University, she returned to her alma mater and earned a Masters in Professional Writing.
A firm believer that the world around us is filled with miracles and magic, Vonnie still sees angels in the trees, trolls under bridges, pillywiggins in her garden, and goblins of all sorts in the shadows.
Vonnie invites bookstores, book groups, science fiction and fantasy cons, book festivals, teachers, home-schoolers, writing groups, faerie festivals, and interested readers to contact her via her website at www.vonniewinslowcrist.com or blog at www.vonniewinslowcrist.wordpress.com for appearances, signings, school visits, interviews, and workshops.

The Greener Forest
by Vonnie Winslow Crist
In The Greener Forest anything is possible. Silver maples sing in angel-song. Spriggans skulk about cypress knees and wreak havoc at an amusement park. The Applehead Lady's true identity is revealed by moonlight filtering through the branches of an ancient tree. These stories and more lead the reader into the depths of The Greener Forest, where Faerie and the everyday world collide.
