Parents, Imagine yourself in your mid 50’s...having hot flashes, diminished hearing, hair turning grey and falling out; energy level cut in half and just about every unnecessary word or noise gets on your nerves. In addition to those realities, add on the fact that you are still working and supporting your kids and their children. Plus, your parents are elderly and you have to help take care of them too.
This was my motivation to spend the last ten years learning and gaining experience and expertise in helping my kids obtain admittance to the college of their choice and acquire full academic scholarships. So, my accomplishment was no accident, I set out to achieve students that are full ride candidates and you can do it too. I put Free Ride to College: a guide to grooming your kids for full academic scholarships as a step by step guide to help families make the impossible a possibility by showing other families how to save millions of dollars on college expenses.
Now that you understand my motivation here is a little bit about me. I have been married to Mr. Wonderful for over 20 years; we have six children and 4 grand children. I am a certified science teacher in the State of Ohio. My experience as a parent and teacher gave me a unique perspective on how to prepare and market my children to colleges and scholarship committees. Although I do include scholarships in my book, it is not simply a list of scholarships, lists will not get you scholarships. However, having a well planned and thought out process to acquire the scholarships will! That is the purpose of Free Ride to College, showing you how to end up with a competitive candidate for academic scholarships and how to navigate securing scholarships.
Now that I have an empty nest, I am on a mission to help other families achieve Free Rides to College too.
