Van Allen Plexico

Biography

Van Allen Plexico has garnered a wide and enthusiastic audience for his groundbreaking series of “Sentinels” original superhero novels (from Swarm Press and White Rocket Books). At the forefront of the pulp revival movement, he has written sword-and-sorcery (“Gideon Cain,” co-created with Kurt Busiek), retro-SF (“Mars McCoy,” co-created with Ron Fortier), classic mystery (in “Sherlock Holmes – Consulting Detective, Vol. 1”), and 1930s air combat (in “Lance Star - Sky Ranger, Vol. 2”), all from Airship 27 Productions. His modern SF novel, “Lucian: Dark God’s Homecoming," hit stores in 2009, also from Airship 27. The “Assembled!” books he created and edited for White Rocket, about Marvel’s “Avengers” comics, have raised thousands of dollars for charity and garnered praise from the original creators themselves. His short stories, commentary and non-fiction articles have been published by “A Thousand Faces” Quarterly, Rittenhouse Archives, Adamant Entertainment and RevolutionSF.com.
