Summer is coming to a close, although I think it may hang around for a bit. Here in the high desert I finished slaving over A Dangerous Kind of Girl, the sequel to White Rock. Find out what happens between Kris and Michael, and that little matter of serial killer ex-boyfriend.
A Dangerous Kind of Girl has more hot seductive scenes this time. I return you to the mountainous National Park where things first caught fire, literally.
What's the story behind your latest book?
A Dangerous Kind of Girl is the next book after White Rock. It follows Kris and her hot ranger boyfriend Michael as they return to White Rock National Park. There are loose ends to be taken care of but they come at cost. Kris finds out that coming back to the park isn't easy.
The story stems from my trips to Yosemite as a young adult. I would take my cruddy Ford Escort, bike strapped to the rear. I used to daydream about a sexy ranger that would ask me to dinner at one of the park lodges There is something about the mountains, waterfalls, the smell of pine trees and being mindlessly swept away in such an amazing place. Why not write a book with a hot little romance to boot?
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My two dogs inspire me to get out of bed. They inspire me with a lot of whining and strange vocalizations. My Labs are indicating they need breakfast and they need it NOW. So basically I never sleep in.
Kris never thought she would find herself back at White Rock. The National Park where her steamy relationship with a rugged ranger began is once more ignited against the backdrop of pristine meadows and formidable mountains. Only one person stands in their way of happiness and this time Michael will do anything to hunt him down.
Romantic distraction proves fatal for workers at White Rock National Park. A passionate relationship develops between a new park ranger and one of White Rock's seasoned staff. Michael is ruggedly handsome but quickly gains a bad reputation in camp due to his sometimes abrasive, stoic manner. Kris struggles with shedding her past and keeping her eyes wide open.
