Chris Kern was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1968 and was raised in New York (US) since he was 2 years old, and since then moved to Arizona in 2005. Having been brought up by two amazing parents that were teachers, with his father dedicating his life to social services, Chris was always on a quest to learn and understand how things worked, and how to help people.
In his teenage years, he was introduced to a life of adventure with rock climbing, water sports, mountain climbing, camping, boating and was an ocean lifeguard at Long Island's Jones Beach State Park for 5 years, recording over 25 saves.
After graduating the State University Of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo with a dual major in Finance and MIS in 1991, Chris embarked on a soul searching mission and moved to California after his last year as an ocean lifeguard. After this amazing experiment - he moved back to New York and pursued a career in corporate finance and investment banking and worked with firms such as Fisher Francis Trees & Watts, Lehman Brothers, Gunn Allen, and Maximum Ventures, where he assisted small to middle market companies with business strategy, M&A, and corporate finance engagements and facilitated over $650 million in financing and capital commitments.
Still an avid adventurer and water sports enthusiast, Chris is married to a beautiful wife, has two incredibly awesome kids, and currently works with Windstream Partners as a business adviser and corporate strategist for young emerging growth companies, while also expanding its publishing division by writing and producing interesting, insightful and helpful action oriented content.
