Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a village in Kent, England called Swanscombe. i have 3 sisters and i am child number 3, being in a small village there isn't much for teenage kids to do, so we spent most of our time listening to music. in 1995 the backstreet boys arrived on the radio and then on tv and I instantly fell in love with them. what influenced my books? well after going to my first Backstreet boys concert in 1998 I had a respect for the bands music and talent. I had written songs myself for a vocal harmony group that i was in myself and a few poems, but in August 1998 during the summer holidays for some reason listening to the boys on cassette and along with a few of my friends and family the book just came to life.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
the greatest joy of writing for me is just being able to get away from my normal day to day life. i can just put in my earphones, stick on some of my favorite music and i can be wherever i like and do whatever i like in my stories.
