Born November 21, 1985, I grew up with my mother reading to me and I loved it. I didn't, however, want to read myself because I was bad at it. In fact I was bad at writing and reading; they were my two worst subjects and I didn't have the desire to improve at either.
At age 12 I thought I might enjoy reading if there was a story I wanted to read out there (I was very cynical of the billions of published books out there because of some of the books I had to read for school), so I figured I'd write one. Years later it was still something I tinkered with until my senior year in high school when I co-authored a story that won first place in our class. That was when I decided to become a writer.
