My name is Sam McKenna
Born and raised in Balbriggan, Ireland. Some time traveller and explorer, though in my own smallest way, and now, by hook or by crook, living once again in the town in which I grew up.
Balbriggan can be found on the east coast of Ireland, a one-time thriving fishing village boasting beautiful beaches, and where some of my fondest childhood memories still remain.
I have been lucky enough to travel to many different places around the globe. From driving Australias outback to trekking the Inca trail in Peru, watching sunsets on the Copa Cabana to drinking bia hoi in central Vietnam. Europe, Australia, New Zealand, North & South America and Asia, all have had a profound and indelible effect on my life and who I am.
I love music, sport, reading, walking, cycling and anything else that I can fit into my life. Singing and playing Irish ballads, telling stories or watching my beloved Dublin team chase championship glory year after year. And I love my family without whom nothing would have any meaning or relevance. In this, I have been blessed most.
I am privileged to share my home with my wonderful wife Hilary and our beautiful daughter Éirinn who inspires us both.
In my spare time, those brief moments interspersed amongst all those things that make life worthwhile, I like to write.
To tell a story.
Because our whole life is a story just waiting to be told.

From Sydney to Cairns, from golden sunsets to sunrise on Fraser Island and Cape Byron, night-time car chases or being hunted through Brisbane by gun wielding criminals, yet always finding solace amongst their own. Each of them will take their own personal voyage as the story unfolds. This is a story of friendship, loyalty, love and betrayal, and the girl that a lot of people need silenced.
