What motivated you to become an indie author?
I've been writing my whole life. I started as editor of my high school newspaper. That led me to a career in journalism. My newspaper career started in the sports department of The Tribune Chronicle in Warren, OH, where I eventually became editor-in-chief. Before retiring in 2004, I was appointed editor of daily newspapers in Valdosta, GA and Manitowoc, WI. It wasn't long after that I began working on my first novel.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
I'm a newcomer to Smashwords and excited to see how it works. I have leanred new things about formatting my books for the mass market. The Style Guide is a great tool. Potential authors should read it.
