Dionne Washington

Born in Los Angeles, CA, I have enjoyed reading since I was a small child. As I grew older my love of books transformed into wanting to write. By that time, I had no formal training in writing stories so I just went from there. As I grew older, I began to take classes to better my writing but I continued to write even then.

Smashwords Interview

When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Well I tend to spend my time writing of course, but I like reading as well.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I read the blurbs and check out the front cover. If the cover is good and the blurb makes me want to see more, I read the very beginning and then the ending to see if the main character survives. I'm a sucker for rooting for the main character.

  • Smashwords Style Guide on April 03, 2012

I found this easy to understand. And the way Mark Coker often repeats himself is a big sell for me. I will use this often in preparation of my own books that I want to publish here at Smashwords.com. I give it five stars. Great job Mark!
  • Novum Aevum: The New Age on May 29, 2012

I liked this story. It was interesting without being boring (sorry for that word). The main character was a joy to read about though I would have liked to see Elizabeth get her comeuppance at his hands instead of her escaping and the like. Great job by the way!
  • The Chronicles of Outsider: Humble Beginnings on Oct. 04, 2012

This was a great book minus the few errors I've read. Not enough for me to stop reading it though. I liked Outsider and would have liked to see him survive instead of come back the way it/he did. Well developed character and should be given a book two. Loved it!
  • Captivity on March 21, 2013

I liked reading this. It was fresh and interesting. I could follow it with no trouble and found myself actually rooting for the MC. Great job!
  • Super Nobody (Alphas and Omegas Book 1) on Aug. 30, 2013

Wow! What can I say. But Super Nobody was something I couldn't stop reading even if I told myself I would stop at certain chapter. The end of the chapter and I kept reading. Funny wasn't that about me? In my opinion Super Nobody is up there with Harry Potter and David Eddings' books, and from me, that's saying something. Since those are my favorite books and author. Great work on creating such a book that totally riveted me in its 'pages'.

  • The Magaram Legends 1: Into the Unknown on Sep. 09, 2013
