Decoding the D-word: Beat Diabetes by thinking like a Pancreas!
NYC, NY October 25th 2013
Today Jan White launched her e-book Decoding the D-word: Beat Diabetes & think like a Pancreas!, which offers radical tips on how Diabetics can eat and live to maintain good blood sugar levels. Speaking humorously from her experience, White cheerfully recounts some of the family dramas around severe lows in her blood sugars and how her son discovered some great supplements and eating habits that have dramatically lowered his mother's sugar levels and reduced her insulin consumption.
Jan says that to control blood sugar levels a Diabetic has to "think like a pancreas!" Her e-book suggests ways to help Diabetics overcome this impossible task as well as giving some important information about how highs and lows are triggered. There are also included in the book many delicious recipes to whet everyone's appetite.
While many books have been generated by medics and nutrition experts, Jan's e-book will capture your imagination, inform and inspire you to change your life! This is an e-book by a Diabetic for Diabetics so there is a different level of understanding of this all-pervasive, life-threatening contemporary health problem. It costs only $5.99 and there will be five free copies gifted to those who are up for it!
The book is written in English but will soon be available in Mandarin for those in the Asian population who are afflicted by this disorder.
About the author:
Dr Jan White is an historian, a practising artist and a writer of some note. She has worked at the University of Auckland for nearly twenty years and has published many articles and catalogue essays on art historical, art criticism and philosophical ideas in the Western traditions. She specialises in reading the symbolic forms used by artists and writers in the ancient Western tradition. She often presents radical ideas and outside-the-square thinking is her hallmark. Her personal battle with Diabetes and numerous close calls with death galvanised her son to look beyond the traditional methodology put in place by the medical profession. Because of the impact this disorder had on her life, she decided to launch her discoveries into the public arena as a positive contribution to the lives of others who battle to maintain steady blood sugar levels that impact their day to day lives severely.
Jan is currently writing several e-books that will be published on Smashwords and Amazon once the editing process has been completed.
