If you enjoy Detective Fiction, read this book - it's a real page turner and every bit as good any the well known authors such as Val McDermid and Lynda la Plante. And in Det Dave Lewis and his beautiful lodger Mariska, this book has the makings of another duo like Dalziel and Pascoe. Gripping and twisting plot, realistic characters you can believe in and a sting in the tail at the end. What more could any fan of crime fiction want ..... AND ITS FREE !!!
Excellent reading. This is the second book from SD Gripton that I have read and continue to be impressed by the quality of the writing. Again another set of well rounded characters and first class twisting plot. It would be a shame if the author didn't consider developing a series around the Hedges siblin cops. I'm looking forward to reading the next novel from the author .. I have bought them all read !! I suppose I must now be what is known as a fan.
Another 5 star page turner from SD Gripton. I enjoyed this book hugely and as I have found with this authors other books. Good action and unexpected twists with just enough elements of mystery a very interesting set of characters that beg to be developed into a series. But Ive sauid that for the others Ive reviewed. Looking foward to reading the next book from SD Gripton
A excellent read. It starts with a twist and from there you are with the main characters all the way to its 'happy ending'. Again S D Gripton has some up with a sympathetic and very interesting set of characters (both goodies and baddies) and a compelling story line than doesn't make it easy to put down.
First Class. What a set of characters. A very episodic format where each individual in set of main characters becomes the focus of short stories which interlink. Dealing mainly with the dregs of the down who S G Gripton brings to life with both humour and disgust.
Excellent , Excellent. Excellent. When I read S D Griptons first book featuring Dave and Mariska "Dark Times". I told the author that I thought the characters could be developed into a series. I hope that this book is only the second of many. A very enjoyable read and it does go to show that 'unpublished' authors produce work every bit as good and thrilling as the household names you see on the shelves in WH Smith. Thank goodness that digtal publishing is able to help such enjoyable books get a reading.
Godness - how does S D Gripton keep coming up with these great ideas. I can't emphasise how much I enjoyed this book and again a great set of baddies and goodies. Touches of 'Ripley' at times with the level of selfish evil and the villans spanning decades.
99cents ??- what a ridiculously low price for hours of grippig reading. I cant wait for the next one from this Author... I suppose I am now what is called 'A Fan'.
