  • Like You Mean It on June 01, 2014

Like You Mean It means so much to me. I grew really attached to Dani and Darren. They're perfect. Trish's writing style is something that I love. While all her stories are different (some really really different), her writing style is something that I truly admire. It sticks with me, and makes me crave more and more of it. I usually fly through her books, while getting angry at myself for reading so damn fast and being almost done with the book. I have reread Like You Mean about ten times, not even kidding. Sometimes I just go back and reread my favorite parts. It has so many cute, lovely moments. There are a lot of times when I grew angry at the people around Darren. He is such a strong character. Dani is so amazing. It doesn't happen too often that I don't get annoyed with the lead girl in a book. In this case, Dani was just perfect all throughout. She got irritated at times, but I agreed with her. She was strong too, she had to be, for Darren. I can't even think of enough words to describe how much I love this story, and how much it has stuck with me. It's so different from anything I've ever read, yet it felt exactly like the book I had been waiting to read. I love Like You Mean.
  • This Time on June 01, 2014

I have been waiting for this book to come out ever since Trish mentioned the idea of writing a spin-off for Justin Jacobs, who just so happens to be a kick-ass character and one of my favorite people in Like You Mean It. I always thought that as much as I loved Like You Mean It, I wanted more screen time for Justin. Now, I got exactly what I wanted. This Time picks up seven years after everything that happened in Like You Mean It. It was a little more time than I would've liked, however, by the end of the book, I saw why it had to be like this. We follow the story in Chelsea and Justin's POV, and I gotta admit I really dug that. I liked knowing what each of them were thinking, especially because just like Chelsea, I can be a little insecure. I know how hot and gorgeous Justin is (that isn't all there is too him, he's a character with layers, and I love that about him), so it can be a little intimidating. Although Chelsea on her end could be intimidating too. They're both characters with strong attitudes. It's one of the main things I love about Chelsea. Even though Justin is tough too, I loved that he was about to take a step down a few times. Chelsea is definitely great at taking control;) When I first heard of the idea of Justin having his own book, I never in a million years pictured he would go back to Chelsea. Not that they dated or anything, but they have history--history that stings in my heart every time I think about it. I loved the reassurance I felt from Justin's character (a lot of the time, I'm all about reassurance--I can be insecure, especially with characters). I can see clearly why Chelsea was on the fence not only with seeing Justin for the first time in years, but also for being scared as to how things would play out between them or if Justin would even care. I cringed at the thought of there being another woman that would give Chelsea competition for Justin's heart. Chelsea seemed a bit scared with what was already happening, I'm really happy Justin gave her no other reason to worry. I LOVED This Time. I didn't want it to end. I read it in just a few hours and I wanted more. I already can't wait for the next book in the series. I'm excited for both Chelsea and Justin. I was so happy to see my other favorites in the series, like Gerald and Marcy. Heck, I even warmed up to Nick. Once again, Nick was a character that I hardly noticed in Like You Mean It. The times I did know he was there, he annoyed me (no matter how cute Marcy thought he was). Now, it was really refreshing to read about him in this different light. Gah, I can't even put to words how excited I am for this series. I already want to continue reading about Chelsea and Justin! Loved loved loved this book, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to have fun reading a funny, witty, sexy story about two very awesome, strong, and lovable characters!
  • Next Time on Oct. 16, 2014

I loved Next Time. I am attached to to these characters so everything I can get about them is a win-win for me. Next Time was everything I was expecting it would be and more. Justin and Chelsea are finally together-together. We have romance, humor, drama, and naughty good times. It was awesome! We run into a problem that will hopefully be resolved in Tough Times (crossing my fingers that it will), and I gotta say I got weepy when I read about it. Love these two and I wanted them to be really happy. They are, of course, but they're still struggling with their relationship and now they have this major problem to deal with. One of the things I love about Justin and Chelsea is how strong they are. It would be impossible not to be tough if they've faced so many things, both in different ways. Chelsea is still insecure, and I think she will continue to be. She's lived being like this all her life. That doesn't mean she will let anyone intimidate her. Justin struggles with this problem, because it concerns him more than anyone. I got pissed off at him because I hate it when a character is selfless and thinks the best solution is to let go. I got angry and frustrated, but oh, the wait for things to get resolved was definitely worth it. My favorite moments, were of course, Justin and Chelsea! They kick-ass. I loved that we got to see more of Darren and Dani. I LOVED that Dani was a lot more chill in this book than in Like You Mean It and This Time. Don't get me wrong, I love Dani. But she wasn't usually the one that brought humor to the story. She was chill and sweet and nice. She was all that here (we have a lot to thank her for), but she's also more open and funny when she's talking about naughty things;) We get more of Nick! I love Nick. I know that Chelsea was annoyed by him at first. He was totally douchey in Like You Mean It, I thought he was cool in This Time, and I fell in love with him here. He is awesome. He's funny, he's hot, and he gives good, blunt advice. No restrictions with him, and it's really refreshing. I definitely enjoyed all the moments we got of him. Randi is an awesome friend. I want a Randi of my own because she was too cool. She understood, she was hilarious, she was pushy when she needed to be, and I loved that she has been there for Chelsea all this time. I want to say that by the end, things resolved nicely. They did. We got one of the major things I'd been waiting for, done. But we're still waiting for that thing *no spoilers* to get resolved, and I'm scared for my baby Justin. He was a bit moody here, but still funny, still hot, and I still wanted to jump him. The naughty scenes were hot and steamy. I will wrap up with that. We are given a sneak peak at the end of the book (which is left in a somewhat cliffhanger, but it's one you'll love as much as I did) of Tough Times and it was hot! This book was amazing. It has everything, humor, drama, romance, a great plot, and very likable characters that I fell in love with from the beginning, and my love has only grown through time. Five stars and I already cannot wait for Tough Times to be released. Trish is such a tease!
  • It's About Time on June 17, 2015

I just finished the book and I have to say, it was everything I wanted and more. I'm so happy and a little teary that I have to say goodbye to these two characters. Words cannot describe how much I love Chelsea and Justin. I'd gotten attached with them since Like You Mean It. I couldn't have been happier that Trish decided to make a series about them. Chelsea and Justin--they definitely had it tough. But the conclusion to their story... It was amazing. I couldn't have asked for more. Like the other three books in the series, It's About Time was witty, funny, sexy, real, sweet... And I could keep going with everything that was done right. I desperately had to know that Chelsea and Justin were gonna have the conclusion that they deserve, and Trish truly didn't let me down. I'd been having hectic days, and I'd kept this book waiting in my kindle until I knew I'd be able to fully enjoy the experience and thrill that it is to read about Chelsea and Justin. I should've known that reading about these two was all I needed to feel better. It's About Time was amazing. It was a wonderful conclusion to Chelsea and Justin's story. I'm sad that it's over, but I'm so happy with how it ended. I totally need to go back and do a reread to catch anything I might've missed. Right now, there's just a huge grin on my face. I loved this book!
