Fun read. I enjoy historical fiction but hadn't read any set in the Klondike gold rush before. I found the setting to be fascinating, and the descriptions were good enough that I could almost feel the icy cold wind. The interactions between the characters was fun, and the goats added some comic relief. I have the next book in the series, "Repeating History" in the "to be read" queue on my Kobo.

Fun historical fiction set in an era about which I knew little. The time travel portion added an extra element to the portion of the story set in the past. I enjoyed watching the hero cope with the culture shock. Read this one out of sequence, as I read "True Gold", the sequel first. However, the two books are only very loosely linked, and the sequence really didn't make much difference, in my opinion. Will read the final book in the trilogy when available.

Having read the first two books in this series, I was looking forward to reading the third one, and it didn't disappoint.

I am not normally a fan of travel books. But I'd read and enjoyed Meg's time travel fiction, so decided to give this a try. I really liked it! This is an engaging description of a 3 month solo drive most of the way around the US, starting in the NW. Lots of interesting encounters and adventures en route. Gave me a good feel for many of the places she visited.
