I wish I could give this book a 5-star rating. I really do. It’s just that although this book had an amazingly strong start, at about 70% into the book I could barely make myself keep reading it. I felt like the author stretched this story so much that it became almost boring. Don’t get me wrong- this book was absolutely amazing! The story was extremely unique, interesting and really gripping and the writing was really good! It just wasn’t as great as it could have been. I felt like the ending was really rushed at some parts and stretched too thin on others. I would have much rather it had a sequel that contained all the information that was thrown onto the reader in the last couple chapters. Overall, this was definitely a good book that’s totally worth reading, even with the not-so-satisfying ending. [Originally posted on YaelReads.com]
