Yol Swan

Biography

YOL SWAN is a spiritual teacher, author, and coach with studies in English literature, music, and clinical homeopathy. Growing up in an intellectual family, she intuitively rejected any and all forms of religion from a very young age; but she perceived life as energy and always felt guided from within.

She awakened to the Divine in her late twenties while spending a few years in almost complete isolation to better understand herself. Then she built a solid spiritual foundation with the personal guidance of enlightened masters from both Buddhist and Hindu traditions, which eventually led her to the path of nondualism or Self-knowledge (jnana yoga) she now teaches.

With more than thirty years of experience exploring the mind through psychology, spirituality, yoga philosophy, and Advaita Vedanta, she helps people around the world implement the Swan Method to gain emotional and spiritual freedom by comprehending the meaning of their life and the true nature of reality. She lives in Western North Carolina, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains.

A poetic exploration of the journey of the soul in search of itself. How can we transcend the mundane if our longing for truth is veiled by shadows of sadness and regret? And yet, behind a spiritual seeker's yearning for the Self lies the inexorable clarity that there is nothing but the Self orchestrating our existence. These poems reflect the inevitable dance of light and darkness within.
