Yvonne Weems
Biography
Yvonne was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. At the age of ten, her interest in writing was realized when she wrote her first poem. Over the years, she was encouraged by teachers to pursue a writing career. There were other hobbies, such as, singing, dancing and drawing, but her love for writing surpassed her other talents. Yvonne attended Redford High School. She later went on to graduate from Cambridge Business School and the Academy of Court Reporting. To date, Yvonne has two published poems Knowledge is The Key (1980 Poetry Anthology) and People Change (2004 Dana Literary Agency). She also received an honorable mention for her poem, In Memory. Some of Yvonne’s poems were lengthy and seemed to tell a story. She was therefore compelled to write a romance novel. Hence, Unrequited Love (2010) and Second Thoughts (2012).
