We enjoy fishing, camping and have recently taken up paddle boarding. We also enjoy cooking great meals together. I was born in Scotland and have lived in Bristol and now in Cornwall, U.K. My primary writing interests are classic ghost (short) stories, and my favourite writer in this field is Algernon Blackwood. I am interested in Dark Age history and have researched the folklore and legends associated with the (pre 1603) kings of Scotland. I have completed a book about the survival legends of the Scottish king James IV, who died at the Battle of Flodden in 1514, and I am writing a supernatural novel aimed at late teens called The Princes of Scotland. My blog maintains a link with my homeland, exploring the legends and folklore of the county of Angus (also known as Forfarshire).

Growing up in a small town in Kansas, I always loved writing. While my brother's were in the yard playing or fighting or hanging our with neighborhood kids, I was in my room reading or writing. As such, I began to pursue my dream. When I graduated from high school, the Navy had a 2 year wait on journalists, so I chose to go in as a linguist. The Navy chose the language...Spanish. So, I became a Spanish interpreter for them. After getting out of the Navy in 2013, I was bounced from job to job through various temp agencies.
