Farrell McNulty, the last of four children born in 1963 to Irish immigrant parents, was raised in the Chicagoland area where he still resides. Over the years, he'd dabbled in community theater, but his heart belongs to the written word. He came up with the idea for his first novel, "A Cracked Egg" in the early 1990s, influenced by soap operas and John Waters films as well as British television.
