Call me Joe. Joseph is a part of my pen name but it is also my legal name and I still don't go by it, so please, call me Joe. "Joseph C. Anthony" just sounds cool on a book cover.
That's right, you can hear a book cover.
Who I am:
First and foremost, I am a nerd, and I was a nerd before the Big Bang Theory made it cool. And that's not to say that I don't like BBT. I absolutely love BBT, and if you don't, you haven't really watched it. I'm just saying that I love many nerdy things, and not just the big screen blockbuster versions of them. But that's not to say that I don't also love the big screen blockbuster versions of them...you get my point. In Joss we trust.
The point is that reality is generally lame ... read more

If I am brutally honest I would say my writing style is unique. I probably break every grammar rule in the book as I like my stories to flow as if alive.
When I write a novel I structure it like I am building a house. First I begin with the foundations of the characters; I try to create them as human as possible with all the common frailties and traits that we all possess. Then I start on the frame, or the outline of the story and then it is a race to build the walls, plaster the walls, put in the electrics and gas and then CRASH! The house explodes into life.

Joseph J. Madden
I have been writing since the age of twelve. Born and raised in Queens, NY, I now live in Wisconsin with my wife, 3 daughters, two dogs and a guinea pig.
I basically write what I would want to read. I grow tired of scanning the science fiction/ fantasy bookshelves of the local booksellers and finding only vampire tales, or books based on the latest video game.
I am a child of the 80's, therefore my influences may be viewed as "cheesy" by today's younger audience. Star Wars, Star Trek, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, and the original Battlestar Galactica have all, in one way or another, influenced my own vision of the future. I'm guessing that those out there with a nostalgic attitude probably share my POV. ... read more

Joey here. I was born in Valencia, California as the youngest of 5 children. I've always been fond of writing fiction, writing and playing music, art, etc., and I always seemed to carry a natural talent for whatever artistic field I tried. I credit it largely to being left-handed, but I digress. In school, my English teachers in particular were always very impressed when I had to write a story for an assignment. Ideas would flood into my head and the stories would practically write themselves. Writing books was always something I wanted to do, but it wasn't until I was an adult that I was willing to give it a try. My cousin (and co-author) Chris has a very similar knack for creativity. When I was fresh out of high school back in the early Eighties, I wanted to be the next Pat Benatar or Joan Jett. I sang in a couple of bands, but neither Pat nor Joan had anything to worry about.
Despite my desire to become a famous rock singer, my heart had always held an even deeper passion for writing. When something touched me emotionally whether it was directly or indirectly, I had to write about it.
Fast forward to the present, I am married to my high school sweetheart, I am a family caregiver, and I am currently working on my third book.
I am very blessed with a life I didn't plan.
So, I hope you enjoy reading my books written the only way I know how to write...from my heart.
