This book has lots of 'best seller ingredients.' It shows many moments that get at the heart of human existence full of serendipity and spirituality. In one story after another, the author opens up so many mysteries found in life. The downside is that the narrative voice continuously goes back to a somewhat didactic tone, telling and not showing. Many times I was reading along, totally tuned into the story, then the 'narrator' who is obviously the author began to impose their interpretation onto the story. A good editor, with an eye for what's written between the lines could cut out some of the didactic parts and improve the book immensely.
