Her family-friendly Leigh Koslow cozy mystery series, a favorite of animal lovers that was originally published in 1999, was reborn in 2012 to become a USA-Today bestseller. Her romantic novels range from women’s fiction with romantic elements to a blend of romance and mystery, beginning with her traditionally published contemporaries, the award-winning Long Time Coming and Meant To Be, and continuing with her exciting new series of interconnected romantic novels, Pacific Horizons, whose characters follow the migration of the humpback whales to some of the most gorgeous locations on earth. In any Edie Claire work, the reader may be assured that intrigue will beckon and tensions will rise – but love will triumph and happy endings will abound! I thoroughly enjoyed Never Buried. Leigh and her cousin Cara were a wonderful pair of ( dare I call them) heroines.
Cara is having a tough pregnancy, so Leigh decides to move in and help. The next morning she finds a corpse in the hammock out back. It is the previous owner who has been dead for 10 years. The girls figure, why not play detective and figure out who he is and why he was left there. The laughs never stops. Leigh's mother ,best friend Maura, and school mate Warren all bring their own fun to the story. Along with Cara's neighbor Adith.
The body isn't the only mystery to solve in the book, I won't reveal the other you can read the book to discover that. I was slightly surprised at who the culprit was.
Growing up in the Pittsburgh area, I could relate to the backdrop of the story. I've been to The Point, Neville Island, and The Beaver Medical Center.

I recommend this book to anyone who like a good mystery and a laugh.

A refreshing take on the 'cozy mystery', Never Buried begins with one of the most endearing opening scenes I've read this year - a cat vomiting.

The bumbling amateur detective was well done and believable - "She had no idea what she was talking about, but it sounded good." A fine story, funny, fast-paced and well told.

An excellent "cozy" mystery!

Nice setting, good characters, logical actions -- I liked this story from the start all the way through.

I thought I had solved the mystery just before the end. Turns out, I was wrong. Just as well -- I liked the author's ending better.

What a great book! And one I would never have found in New Zealand without Smashwords. Loved Leigh, Cara and Maura. The mystery was a real page turner as well. Pleased to see there's a whole series of Leigh novels.

This is an entertaining book. Leigh Koslow can't help but walk into trouble. Though I wouldn't say she herself is that great a slueth, she certainly forces things out into the open by sticking her nose into them.
