The Stonehenge Observatory

This provocative and entertaining book destroys the current archeological interpretation of Stonehenge as a temple built by Neolithic farmers 5,000 years ago. It reassesses evidence from excavations and challenges long upheld views on how the site was designed, the reason for its location and the methods by which the stones were prepared and erected. The conclusion is stunning in its simplicity.

About Dean Talboys

Hi! I'm Dean. I have over 25 years experience developing and deploying a wide range of applications on IBM mainframes, networks, the Internet and various handheld devices and my Point of Sale software has been in use throughout the Middle East for over 15 years. Over the past five years I've concentrated on Internet based applications for 360º Virtual Tours and interactive 3D models in the real estate market.

I'm an avid researcher with a keen eye for detail and have recently completed a book on Stonehenge, the ancient megalithic site in Wiltshire, England. My latest project is the Great Pyramid in Giza, Egpyt. The 3D models used to illustrate my research have been created from OS maps and excavation reports, photos, books, eyewitness and personal accounts. Please take a few minutes to look at my creations - they offer a pleasant diversion from your typical web site!

If you would like to use any of my images or 3D models, or require images of the 3D models from different aspects, bespoke 3D models for use online or in publications, other artwork or browser based applications, please contact me by eMailing dean @ this site.
