About Diana Iles Elliot

Fun fact: My middle name, Iles, was my grandma’s maiden name. It’s pronounced like “aisles” and “isles”.

The English language is weird.

Anyway! I’m a 27 year old musician, among other things, but I’ve always loved to write and tell stories. My dad is a novelist, playwright and screenwriter, so I suppose it’s in the blood. He keeps a very embarrassing file of mementos from my childhood, and this is why I know I was attempting to write romance novels before I actually knew what romance was. In second grade I wrote a short story about two characters from a children’s book falling in love and getting married. Does that mean it was fanfiction?! Oh dear.

I’m pleased to report that my writing has improved since then (um, in my opinion). My first self-published novel, One Night Standoff, is available now wherever eBooks are sold!

Good writing, but weak story. Reads more like implausible wish fulfillment than a solid story.

This was quite a nice surprise. I had expected it to be cheesy and vulgar, but instead I get unique and passionate. Even the structure was great.

Well written and sexy. I'll disagree with the previous reviewers- the "detached" tone is part of the appeal. The narrative is tight and the continuity- my usual gripe with erotica- is smooth.

My one negative is that I really dislike the odd-name-as-setup-for-bad-pun motif, but it's several notches above the majority of erotica ebooks I have read.

Steamy, sensual, well-written.

I agree with the previous reviewer that the narrative tone is a little detached, but given the lush language and the anonymous nature of the events, the tone suits.

Enjoyable, but the tone seems a bit detached. Steamy, short story with an interesting premise.
