About James Lay

Whilst working in Sweden, one snowy winter, I ran out of SciFi books to read, so I started to write Galactic Rescue Inc. I enjoyed the experience so much that my series of novels is the result. I started reading SciFi in 1952 and continue to date - plenty of time now! Retired. Vol 4 of the Galactic Rescue Series is in the writing stage at this moment.

Nice space opera, but weak in physics, e.g. distances like 250 000 billion light years in a universe of 14 billion years since the big bang, moving through the atmosphere from Brunei to England in minutes (not jumping, which I would have understood), etc.
Also some weird English grammar, e.g. consistently using something like "he was stood" instead of "he was standing".

In bringing back Adventure to the Science Fiction genre, this title joins the ranks of the great space operas of the past which enthralled both young and old.

I started the first volume and immediately joined the heroes on their quest. A rare feeling, I cared what happened to them and wanted to see where they went next.
