Declaration of Surrender

Rated 5.00/5 based on 1 review
In 1945, the U.S. Congress created a document protecting its own interest against Germany or Japan, leaving its citizens to fend for themselves. The document is lost for 65 years until now when its location is believed found.

As the document will give sole ownership of all US properties to whomever finds it, it is a race for DHS to retrieve it first before a foreign country reigns over the US.

About Jim Burkett

My true vocation is that of a Sr. Systems Analyst for a large company in the United States. During my off hours, I spend them writing as much as possible, along with providing services as the staff photographer and volunteer for multiple charity organizations in the Tampa Bay area, including the Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

As a photographer and author, I have had the priviliage of being invited to capture the Canadian Olympic team during their team trials prior to Beijing. I also photographed the boat 'Earthrace' during it's world attempt to break the record circumnavigating the globe. This boat was later refitted and renamed 'Aby Gil'. This boat was eventually sunk by a Japanese whaling ship during it's use in the the filming of the series 'Whale Wars'. Many of my photographs and articles have appeared in hundreds of magazines, newspapers and books around the world.

With regards to my additional writing experience, I wrote a monthly column for the publication 'SouthWinds' which is a sailing magazine. Those stories have also appeared in many different publications.

I have been married to my wife Cathy for over 30 years and have two sons and one golden retriever named Maggie.

I am currently working on the sequel to 'Declaration of Surrender' and 'American Sanction', titled 'Reprisal' which will be available in October 2012. In addition to these books, I have also published a children's series titled 'Read With Me Pops', geared toward ages 1-5.

Declaration of Surrender

Action, adventure, mystery, murder, and thrills, this page-turner has them all including a liberal amount of blood and gore. Jim Burkett has crafted a wonderfully entertaining novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Written with a real knowledge of cell phone technology, we discover what’s possible and even uncover some information that has previously been the purview of organizations like the FBI, CIA, or the Homeland Security Department of which Nick, our central character is a member. Join Nick as he uncovers a secret that has cost many lives and dates back to a compact from the end of World War 11 concerning the transfer of unbelievable national wealth, which could bring the US economy to a standstill. I’m not going to tell you more, but Jim will in his no nonsense unique voice. You’ll have to discover the secret for yourself. The characters are so realistic it’s hard to remember that this is fiction. Deserves five stars.
